The Mogollon Cemetery was founded in 1891 and has had burials through the present day. The cemetery is on USFS land and encompasses approximately three acres. A focused effort is currently underway to transfer the land to private ownership and management.
The goal of this effort is to appropriately honor those interred and memorialize their lives. The Mogollon Cemetery Archives Historical Database strives to document the personal history of those buried. This is very difficult because there are no existing records of the cemetery or the story of their lives.
We, therefore, entreat your participation by communicating any historical information, including personal histories, photos, diaries, birth certificates, death certificates, marriage certificates, and obituaries. All information will be added to our historical database and will be incorporated into a public journal.
